We had the most amazing time! We were able to upgrade to an ocean view and it was well worth it. The room had everything we needed- a comfortable bed and lots of space, nice hot shower and purified water for drinking. Fresh towels were provided everyday. The room was very clean.

The food was great and a lot of it. Lots of variety- there was something for everyone's tastes. The wait staff at all the restaurants was courteous, professional, fun and pleasant. They pool their tips so don't worry about slighting someone! Make sure you are there for the big Caribbean night on Wed. What a spread!

Most employees spoke English but we tried out our Spanish and they were very patient with our efforts.
As far as the beach- yes there was a little seaweed but that is nature and I have to say the hotel did a great job in keeping that all cleaned up. The water and the beach were amazing. Nobody bothered us at the beach trying to sell things. A security guard was always in the area in case someone did try.

You could walk down the beach away from the resort and find the huts with lots of local merchandise. Definitely bargain with them and you get good deals. The grounds and the pool were immaculate. There was always staff around tending to them. The full time activities personnel got everyone up for a variety of games.. on the beach-horseshoes, volleyball, bacci, aerobics, etc. there was always something going on and the water sports were just as fun... sailing, parasailing, snorkeling, scuba, etc. Again the staff was great.

All in all our experience was a positive one. We would recommend this resort. The key thing about traveling anywhere is to have an open mind and enjoy a new culture!
